Constitution, Civil Rights, & Democracy

The FYRE Foundation teaches individual duties & responsibilities.

The FYRE Foundation provides education to demystify the two seemingly irreconcilable systems of authority in the US, individual state governments and the federal government.  E pluribus unum (Latin for “Out of many, one.” Our U.S. motto). This is accomplished by unpacking citizenship into three distinct categories:  1) society, 2) local communities, townships, and states, 3) federal government, key national documents, and institutions, and 4) our individual and country’s role in the world.

The FYRE Foundation’s inspiration is derived from the Christian tradition and political philosophies of John Locke, Alexis de Tocqueville, and other modern American greats such as the Founders, and Martin Luther King, Jr.

We partner with both the American Legion to provide annual oratorical contests based on the constitution and with the Veterans of Foreign Wars to promote an annual essay competition on democracy.

The Bill of Rights and Duties of a Citizen

The FYRE Foundation provides fun classes, venues and experiences to youth K-12 that introduce and familiarize them with their granted rights as a citizen. Productive, independent citizens that know their rights for them and their family is part of having a strong family. FYRE explains and trains youth and adults on the sacrifices made to preserve our rights and freedoms, including respect for the American flag. We introduce youth to local law enforcement early on to build respect for those who serve and protect in order to build long-lasting trust and partnerships. In middle and high school, we teach the youth about the Bill of Rights, Constitution, legal system, and Citizenship in the Community, National, Society, and World as well as respect for the American Flag and the freedoms for which it stands.
