November 13, 2022: Luncheon Seminar: How to Adopt, become a Foster Parent, or Advocate to help abused and neglected children.

The FYRE Foundation hosted an information luncheon to promote adoption, foster care, and guardian ad litems during National Adoption Month at the Redeemer Church in Riverview, FL on November 13th. Non-profit organizations from around Hillsborough County gave interested families information on how they can help abused, abandoned, and neglected kids. Approximately 40 families and individuals attended. Several were moved to action as a result.

The Children’s Network of Hillsborough County provided information on how to become a foster or adoptive parent, what qualifications and training is required, financial aid programs. The Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay presented children currently in the foster care system with their parental rights fully terminated looking for forever homes and their stories. Guardian ad Litem (GAL) of Tampa Bay informed how to volunteer as a GAL to advocate for children in the system.

The event was free and provided by the FYRE Foundation. FYRE supports it’s family and youth mission through local fundraising and gifts from FYRE’s supporters like you.
